Overview: 

Games managers are responsible for the gaming functions at casino operations. They oversee dealers and supervisors, and provide supervision, training and support. Games managers must demonstrate leadership and be able to make responsible decisions.

Duties: 

develop and administer policies and procedures handle day-to-day casino operations oversee gaming tables supervise personnel, e.g. ensure policies are adhered to assure the security and protection of the cash

Experience: 

A games manager must be experienced as a dealer or gaming supervisor. In addition, skills must include customer service, problem solving and communication. Management or supervisory experience is also required. Experience and skills in the areas of human resource and time management, as well as monetary transaction skills, are desired.

Education: 

A secondary school diploma is required. Knowledge of the National Occupational Supervisory Skills Standards is an asset.

Career Path: 

Casino General Manager, Owner/Operator.
