Working with Youth

Teenagers and 20-somethings fairly new to the labour pool have been called generation Y, millenials or echo boomers. Researchers agree they share some characteristics that differentiate them from their older colleagues.

Today's Youth are tech savvy, "big picture" thinkers that want exposure to many aspects of a business. Raised in an environment that inspired confidence and hope, this group looks for creative, challenging, collaborative work. They are positive and have high expectations. They want to make a contribution and look for opportunities to learn, so give them a chance! With the right attitude and training, experience is the only thing they lack!
