Greg’s Career Story
Launching, building, and tearing down shows every day—that’s the excitement that drew Greg Newton to event tourism. While managing 150 employees, Greg oversees food and beverage, operations, security, parking, sales, and event management as the Manager of BMO Centre, Calgary Stampede. It’s a job that looks different from one day to the next, and that’s what he loves about it.
Greg finds empowerment in serving others, whether that’s through training a new Canadian working their first job in the country, or coaching a recent high-school graduate on the ins and outs of the hospitality industry. By providing exceptional experiences to his guests, he’s been able to learn more about how the world works, while meeting some of the most influential people he could have imagined.
